Is it possible to save all of my configuration, post, etc. files, basically all files that have been customized to our needs, to one common location on our server. Then all users would read these files when they fire up Cimatron. I'm looking at trying to avoid having to update every computer as changes are made. As we add more users the problem grows significantly.

Hi Phil,

There is no way to point multiple installations of Cimatron to a single location on a server to retrieve all this information every time Cimatron starts. Sorry.

But on the other hand, we do have the tools to make the process of saving, distributing and loading common configurations, extremely easy. Just go to Cimatron E9 Control Panel, and look at the first option on the Utilities page. The Zip CimatronE Configuration Files utility allows you to save any and all customized files that might exist in Cimatron. The next option under Utilies is called Unzip and Install CimatronE Configuration Files, which is the tool that you would use to select and install a saved set of configs.

This would be great to add a "File location" page in the preferences. This could allow a lot of things to be mapped to a network location by default.
