in surface milling finish mill by limit angle, if I am finishing with a .375 ball and i have several corner radii and some slightly bigger than a radius of .1875 let's say .1975 and several smaller than that. what value would I need to put into the preferred corner radius value for it to still machine the .1975 but still round the other smaller radii?
The preferred corner radius is the smallest radius that the system will try to use to handle inside corner motions. In your case, in order to cut the 0.1975 rad properly with a 0.375 tool, you will need to set the preferred corner rad to 0.010.
