- E9.0SP1P5 - Supplemental Patch - available on the CTI ftp site - Product Number 9,0105,0651,824(SP1P5)
This is a small patch to correct two very specific NC related issues.
- Checking stock above Z Top was incorrect if the below conditions are met:
- The cutter in use is a non-flat cutter - it is either a bull-nose, a ball or a tapered (flat, bull, ball) cutter.
- (and) the down step is smaller than the cutter corner radius (or the taper area)
- (and) the option Z Limits-Top Z is activated
- (and) the option Check Stock Above Z Top is activated
- A case of unmachined pocket (corner).
- The Rough High Accuracy Stock algorithm includes a criteria for an ‘Insignificant pocket’. An insignificant pocket is a small pocket that removes almost no material, therefore it is not considered as a pocket to be removed (the benefit is that it reduces machine time). The criteria for these pockets has been fine tuned to enable a more accurate machining.
This patch can ONLY be installed on top of E9SP1. If you are running a pre-release version of E9, or you did not run the localization when you installed the official release of E9, you should NOT attempt to install this patch.
- E9.0SP1P6 - Supplemental Patch - available on the CTI ftp site - Product Number 9,0106,0651,827(SP1P6)
This is a small patch to enhance the capabilities of the GPP2 posting engine. It includes enhancements to allow posting from the current procedure UCS, some 5-axis enhancements, and additional functionality that ties into the Machine Simulator.
This patch can ONLY be installed on top of E9SP1P5. If you have not yet moved to E9SP1P5, you should NOT attempt to install this patch.
- E9.0SP1P7 - Supplemental Patch - available on the CTI ftp site - Product Number 9,0107,0651,831(SP1P7)
This patch was only available for a short time, and has since been superseded by the E9.0SP1P8 patch, and it is no longer relevant. The E9.0SP1P8 patch includes the entire contents of the E9.0SP1P7 patch.
- E9.0SP1P8 - Supplemental Patch - available on the CTI ftp site - Product Number 9,0108,0651,845(SP1P8)
This is a small patch to fix several EDM Setup problems.
- The burn location start point X,Y,Z values are incorrect in case that the part’s active UCS (used for the extract) is other than the model UCS.
- The output file for the AGIE machine ends after the TOP_Z value.
- When selecting one of the specific EDM machines (i.e., other than the ‘Standard’) and outputting ALL, the Excel report is incomplete.
- If entering the Report dialog via the main assembly leaf, incorrect End Position (X, Y, Z) values are shown.
This patch can ONLY be installed on top of E9SP1P6 or E9SP1P7. If you have not yet moved to E9SP1P6 or E9SP1P7, you should NOT attempt to install this patch.
- E9.0SP1P9 - Supplemental Patch - available on the CTI ftp site - Product Number 9,0109,0651,854(SP1P9)
This is a small patch to fix several EDM Setup problems.
- ‘AGIE’ machine output file: Correct values of BURN_UCS_ORIGIN_X, BURN_UCS_ORIGIN_Y, BURN_UCS_ORIGIN_Z.
- ‘Standard’ machine output file: Correct values of BLANK_ORIGIN_X , BLANK_ORIGIN_Y ,BLANK_ORIGIN_Z
- ‘ZuK’ machine output file: Variable names of polishing electrodes now have the extension name “_POL”.
This patch can ONLY be installed on top of E9SP1P8. If you have not yet moved to E9SP1P8, you should NOT attempt to install this patch.
- E9.0SP1P11 - Supplemental Patch - available on the CTI ftp site - Product Number 9,0111,0651,859(SP1P11)
This is a small patch to fix the following problems.
- Exporting to STEP by pick would make no file / bad file.
- Exporting to STEP by pick would drop faces out of objects.
- Exporting to IGES by pick might be missing a part.
- Automated Drilling was adding hidden holes to groups.
- Updating the BOM in drafting was erasing manually made lines in the drawing file.
- New geometry created in an assembly would immediately become hidden
This patch can ONLY be installed on top of E9SP1P9. If you have not yet moved to E9SP1P9, you should NOT attempt to install this patch.
There is also an OC release available for older computers that do not support SSE2 commands. We included the OC version on the E8.5 DVD, as we did not know how many of these older PC's were still around. As of E9, due to the very low numbers of E8.5 users who required the OC version, the OC version was not included on the official DVD, and will only be available upon request. Files saved with the OC version of Cimatron E9 will have a version stamp of 9,0100,0651,818. This pass is equivalent to the E9SP1 pass. There will be NO patches issued for the OC version, and none of the patches listed above will work with the OC version of Cimatron. E9 will be the last release of CimatronE in North America, where an OC version is offered.
