I use the runner part function of mold design to design wiring channels as well as runners. It works great for doing these channels. I found a little trick to do this however. I use the trapezoidal runner shape. If you type in a side angle of zero and a radius of 0 and press the green check box, it throws an error and will not allow a value of zero. If you type 0 in these boxes and press enter instead of the green check box, it throws an error, but hit enter again and the zero value is accepted.
